MONOTYPES

Abstract, spontaneous and experimental series of works on paper

Monotype prints are single impression prints and are created by the transfer of paint onto paper or canvas from a plate and or other substrate. It is considered to be one of the most painterly methods among the printmaking techniques. The beauty of this medium is in its spontaneity and the possibilities of combining printmaking, painting and drawing media into improvised one-of-kind abstract works art.
